The falling standards of news and journalism

I’m so angry I can not write a suitable introductory introduction. Those readers unfamiliar with the internationally renowned television news programme the “7 30 Report”, or the nefarious man who goes under the name of “Stan Grant” (if that is his real name), please refer to their respective Google records.

The following is correspondence issued to the ABC, the Australian broadcasters of the “7 30 Report”:

It is absolutely abhorrent that you have inserted Stan Grant on to the pinnacle of televised journalistic output in Australia, the “7 30 Report”. The man has no credibility whatsoever and is a giant step backwards into the dark ages of Australian history.

To news and a current affairs viewers in Australia he is not associated with respectable, professional and mature journalism. He is associated, from his reign on “Today Tonight”, with chasing people down suburban streets, commentating on parking fines and exposing old ladies who cheat at bingo.

He has no place on ‘My ABC’, and as it is ‘My ABC’ I deem him unfit to be on tax-payer funded screens. I can no longer expose my family to your channel now that you have tainted it so horribly.

Appendix A: The man in question

Would you trust this man with all your news & journalistic needs? To his credit, he has the Sydney Opera House on his side, but that is not enough to redeem him.
